Why StillHaven?

"Be still and know that I am God"

Psalm 46:10

The name StillHaven was a divine inspiration to all of us when we decided to create this venture. As believers in Jesus Christ, as well as managing our own special needs families, we felt compelled to turn to scripture and find a passage that spoke to us and this verse did just that. Families with special needs go through so much constant change, chaos and uncertainty. We want to be the quiet place or haven they can come to for help and offer the assistance they need in order to produce the lasting peace they are seeking in their lives!

The meaning of Psalm 46:10....

Let go of control - the Hebrew word for "be still" means to relax, sink down or let go.
Stop overworking - stop trying to fix every hard thing by yourself.
Trust God - this verse reminds believers that God is powerful and in charge during hard times.
